Jericho and Inner Circle members Guevara, Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager have actually been out for retribution for a long time, as MJF tried to damage the group from the inside before beginning a group of his own.
The Inner Circle got another opportunity to get back at MJF at Double or Nothing, and they did precisely that by winning the match and preventing the risk of needing to disband

The action wasnt doing not have in memorable areas, with Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer and inside linebackers coach Charlie Strong making unanticipated cameos.

The challenge was put down on the heels of the very first Blood and Guts match on AEW Dynamite on May 5 in between The Pinnacle and The Inner Circle. The Pinnacle– MJF, Wardlow, FTR and Shawn Spears– won the match, but the manner in which they won had their competitors out for vengeance.
Sammy Guevara gave up on behalf of The Inner Circle to prevent MJF from tossing Jericho off the top of the cage, but the Pinnacle leader did it anyhow regardless of the reality that his group had currently won. He sent out The Demo God crashing through a platform, and the veteran needed to be eliminated on a stretcher.
The following week on Dynamite, The Inner Circle interrupted The Pinnacles event, and much to MJFs surprise, Jericho existed with a brace on his arm.
