The fact that Baker wont miss out on any time is excellent news for both her and the fans. She suffered a leg injury in May 2020 that kept her on the rack throughout that summer, right as she was making excellent strides in the department following a heel turn. She defeated Hikaru Shida for the ladiess title back at Double or Nothing and now stands atop the AEW Womens Division as one of the most popular wrestlers in the business.

This weeks edition of AEW Dynamite, dubbed AEW Fyter Fest Night 2, saw Dr. Britt Baker effectively retain her AEW Womens World Championship against previous champ Nyla Rose. Baker posed for a photo alongside previous UFC fighter Paige VanZant with her hand in a cast and composed, “With @paigevanzant … And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist.

This weeks edition of AEW Dynamite, called AEW Fyter Fest Night 2, saw Dr. Britt Baker effectively maintain her AEW Womens World Championship against previous champ Nyla Rose. Baker didnt leave the match unharmed, as she verified in a Twitter post on Friday. Baker posed for an image alongside previous UFC fighter Paige VanZant with her hand in a cast and wrote, “With @paigevanzant … And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist. Baker explained why she chose to sign with AEW throughout an interview with ComicBook back in 2019, stating, “One of the significant selling points personally for me was that Kenny Omega was going to have heavy participation and that there would be a lot of usage of the Japanese females.

” And as far as Kenny, I dont believe it can get better than Kenny,” she added. “Hes just a genius. Hes one of the very best worldwide, if not the best on the planet. So to be able to work with him and under him is something that ideal way I was offered on that. Not to point out simply The Young Bucks, Cody, Brandy, Kenny, in general, theyve been absolutely sensational on just remaining on the cusp of success with everything that theyve been doing. Something brand-new, something fresh is exactly what I was looking for since life can get really uninteresting when you remain within the limits of what you currently know.”

That right now, that triggered my interest right away since wrestling in Japanese culture is– its another world, but its high-grade wrestling. Its the borderline gold requirement of wrestling. To have the opportunities to have matches with some of these Joshis is something that you may never have in another wrestling department.
