A leader of the “Peoples Convoy,” the protest prepared for Washington, D.C., to resist vaccine mandates for U.S. employees, is supposedly a member of the reactionary extremist group Proud Boys.
American truckers in the convoy are apparently leaving in late February for the nations capital to oppose federal government COVID-19 mandates they consider unconstitutional. The organizer for Marylands chapter of the convoy is believed to be a member of the Maryland D.C. Proud Boys.
Jordan Green, a reporter for RawStory, got access to the Peoples Maryland/Virginia Convoy chat on Telegram, validating the connection to the nationalist group.
Individualss Convoy is a spinoff of Canadian truckers “Freedom Convoy” that protests new requirements mandating truckers get immunized versus COVID-19 or face possible quarantine or screening.
According to a January 2021 report from the U.S. Department of Justice, the Proud Boys are a “nationalist company.” Because then, the group has been prohibited from numerous significant social networks platforms consisting of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

” Weve been tasked with collecting supplies, having individuals prepared for the sides of the roadway when they do come through our area, and if they remain in our territory to supply them,” @GTHaze wrote under the username Peter Venkman, according to RawStory.
RawStory declares the same username posted remarks in the Official MDC Proudboys channel on Telegram last month. Prior to altering their username to @GTHaze, the account was “Ghost MDC,” supposedly matching the name on a patch used by a Carroll County member of the Maryland Proud Boys chapter at a rally, according to Green.
There are over 46,000 members in the Peoples Convoy (OFFICIAL) nationwide Telegram channel. Users have posted warnings from other states prompting those taking part in the protest to be cautious.
